  6. The format of .MLS files for versions of MolSys from v0.74 onwards has changed
  7. slightly from earlier releases. Old (type 5) files must be converted into new
  8. (type 6) files before loading into MolSys. This may be done by loading them
  9. into MSC and re-saving them one-by-one, or by using the supplied converter
  10. program, MS_5_6.TTP. To use, double click on the program, and type in the file
  11. specification of the files to convert. This filespec may contain wildcard
  12. characters. For instance:

  14. M:\MLS\TEST.MLS
  15.  
  16. converts only the file TEST.MLS in the folder M:\MLS\, whilst:
  17.  
  18. *.MLS
  19.  
  20. converts all the .MLS files in the current directory.
  21. Note that MS_5_6 is quite intelligent, and it will not attempt to convert
  22. non-MolSys files, or ones which have already been converted to type 6 files.
  23. MS_5_6 can handle a maximum of 256 files at once, and needs enough room free
  24. on disk to hold another copy of the largest file to convert. The size of the
  25. converted files is exactly the same size as the originals.
